A sauna can be part of a winter ski weekend, a cool-weather hiking trip, or simply a slower day at the house. Because the home also has a hot tub and indoor entertainment, the amenity is not dependent on summer lake weather.

The Modern Lakefront Retreat is the larger of the two featured homes, with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, capacity for up to 12 guests, and parking for up to 7 vehicles. The Lake House is a separate option for guests who do not need a sauna.

A home sauna session is typically most comfortable in short rounds — about 10-15 minutes at a time — with a break to cool down and rehydrate in between, rather than one long continuous session. Drink water before and after, and skip the sauna if you've been drinking alcohol, are pregnant, or have a heart condition, unless your doctor has said otherwise.

Pair it with the property's hot tub or a dip in the lake for a classic hot-cold contrast some guests use to help with muscle recovery after a day of hiking, skiing, or paddling — though as with any wellness routine, it's worth checking with a doctor first if you have an underlying health condition.
